Description: Skills House conducted this study for the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), a leading international NGO specializing in forced displacement. From April to June 2023, an assessment was conducted on climate change adaptation strategies for agribusiness in two locations, Tel Afar and Sinjar, Ninewa governorate. The study aimed to analyze the impact of climate hazards on agricultural production, food security, livelihoods, migration and displacement, conflict dynamics, and social cohesion. It also aimed to identify challenges, adaptation strategies, and solutions. The findings of the study emphasized opportunities that government departments, NGOs, and INGOs could implement to support agribusiness in coping with climate change through capacity development, better utilization of existing assets, and access to needed assets as well as information. The study took a gender- sensitive approach to describe the specific barriers faced by females and the respective needed solutions.
